Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. Her movies include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). New York was her home and she grew up in an artistic environment. She started as a photographic assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. Her first two movies were noticed and she received recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world fame along with several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. Within just three short films MacGraw became the most popular female box office star in the entire world. In 1972 her hand-footprints as well as her signature were inscribed at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was released. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
